Welcome to the CCA Newsroom, the place to find out the latest information on federal fishery management issues in the Gulf of Mexico, along the East Coast, in the South Atlantic, and in the Pacific Northwest.
CCA develops its fisheries positions and policies through the active participation of volunteers throughout its 17 state chapters. Each committee is made up of dedicated conservationists who are appointed by their state chapters to educate themselves on various fisheries issues, participate in committee meetings, and develop conservation-minded positions for consideration by the CCA National Government Relations Committee.
With the guidance of a region-specific fisheries expert, each committee previews and reviews the issues under consideration by the relevant federal fishery management regulatory agencies.
In these pages you will find CCA press releases, position statements and testimony on the conservation challenges facing important recreational marine species. You will meet the CCA advocacy team with responsibility for each region and, most importantly, you will have the opportunity to comment and ask questions about marine conservation and management issues that are becoming more complex by the day.
Simply click on a region or issue to find out the latest developments that are impacting your recreational angling and the marine resources in your area.
